The Geography of Quiberon
The peninsula of Quiberon is situated 30 km to the south of Auray and 510 km west of the great French capital. This region has an area of 840 ha and is adjoning Saint-Pierre-Quiberon in the north. The peninsula is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and has an ideal location that gives it a favorable and sunny climate all year round.
The city of Quiberon has a dozen beaches each one more spectacular than the last. The largest and most popular of all is the large central beach, one of the treasures that it has to offer visitors.
The lighthouse of La Teignouse, one of the few emblems of Quiberon is located in the southeast of the peninsula. On its west coast, the Côte Sauvage is an important property of the Conservatoire du Littoral. You will see in this place a particular floral diversity to quote only the best known example : carnation, purple heather, broom, Armenia, and many others.
This exceptional place can be explored by car, on foot, by bicycle, by sea kayak or on horseback. If you want to venture to the Côte Sauvage from Château Turpault, you can take the coastal road marked by several parking areas.
To the north of Quiberon, there are industrial and commercial areas made up of factories and large food and distribution stores. The peninsula is the ideal place to get a dream vacation. However, this is what leads to high attendance.
The city of Quiberon is located in the west of France and in the south of Brittany. As for its bay, it is overstayed on the southern coast of the Morbihan department on Breton lands. It is formed by the western part of Mor Braz and is bounded on the North by the continent and on the South by the Beniguet road.
In order to reach the bay of Quiberon by landing from the south or the west, it is better to take one of the passages that serves the causeway of shoals. In fact, it is a circuit that extends from the southern tip of the peninsula to Hoëdic. If the weather seems bad or windy, it is advisable to go through the Teignouse road indicated by the homonymous lighthouse.
